for public land not too bad, sad part is I was cleaning this one and its tarsals had a bigger one looking for a fight, not much you can do with your gun too far away

Year of Harvest: 2004 Time of Harvest: 1:15 Story and Comments.: This is a typical 10 point, but has 3 burrs on either side on the base of each main beam, three on the left side are over an inch, this guy came cruising for does and barely had time to see him and he was 25yrds away and cruising, I picked my shot, fired and he stopped, I pumped took aim and shot, and to my dismay he started going again, I shot a third time as he stopped and looked up and he cruised about 30 yds behind some brush, later found my group was less than 1inch with a 12 guage ( each hole joining the next) and the vitals were gone! just a stubborn buck, but hey worth the fear of losing him. this is my first wall hanger, and first buck with a gun. what a way to start. not only that but the tarsals pulled in a bigger buck as I was cleaning this one, but I was to far away from my gun, by the time I got to it, I saw the white rump and the tree for a rack heading away. but I am more than happy!!
