Year of Harvest: 1993 Time of Harvest: 8:30 Story and Comments.: It was early in the year that I had seen him. I got him on video for a split second. then he jumped in the woods, oh I was watching the fields to see what was in the area. I was hunting on private ground joining state game lands in fulton county. This was on the opening day of buck season in 1993. I had a permanent tree stand and produced a buck every year.Until everyone in the area found out what I had shot then the following year I had orange sitting all around me.Okey back to the story,It was around 8:30 am and everything was quiet and that was not normal for me because I hunt close to the fields and If I don't see any deer by 8:oo am That usually is bad news for me.I set at the top of a hollow I was giveing up hope .My focus was on a gray squirrel that had gone by my stand. It was one of them mornings where the sun would come out then go back in. as I was looking down the ridge there was a scrub pine tree about 6 foot high and all of a sudden it moved. It was him but he was looking at me . I had one shot it was his neck at 70 yards I took it he went down and the rest is history.
