Story and Comments.: It was the opening day of deer season in Lancaster Pa. We were sitting in our favorite hunting spot. It was shortly after 7:30 just as daylight came through. As I looked to my right I seen a deer walking towards us. I shot it once in the left shoulder, it ran 10 yards. As my dad was saying " shoot it again ", I was so nervous and shaky I didnt think I could shoot it again. It crossed the creek and i managed to shoot it again in the neck and thats when it fell. We had went down to where I last shot it, and it was a 6 point. As my dad gutted the deer, I watched the woods to see if any other deer would come through for my dad to shoot. When he was done gutting it we walked back up to our spot and i fell asleep for about an hour and a half. Not long after I woke up, my dad's saying " theres a deer, theres a deer" He shot it once, but he had missed it. I was sitting there telling him " shoot again, shoot again " he shot it and it fell. We waited for about 5 minutes until we walked up to it. My dad always talked about how he wanted to get this 9 point when he was hunting in archery, but he never got a shot. As we got up to the deer my dad was saying " its the 9 point i always wanted to shoot! " I never seen him so happy before. He was so excited and he was shaking so bad he couldnt even talk on the phone to tell people what he got. Me and my Dad always have a good hunting season, this is something we will always do together.
