Story and Comments.: I have seen this Deer a number of times through out the season but i could never get the right shot off. i entered the woods and was set up in my stand about 1 hour before daybreak, as the day began i watched 5 does walk directly below me. they continued on past and they kept stopping and watching behind them. i then thought to my self get ready that buck is on his way. after the doe were out of sight i hit my doe bleat a few times followed by 3 short and 1 long grunts on my grunt tube. i waited a few sec. then hit my rattle bag then followed again with a few more grunts. it wasnt more then 5 min and something caught the corner of my eye. and there he stood about 50 yrds away. i hit the grunt 1 more time and he started in torward my stand. i have my yardage marked off with tiny red ribbons as he entered my 40 yrd range i drew my bow back and it was a good thing i did because he turned and started to hed away from me and i told my self if he stops im taking the shot and sure enough he did. i placed my forty yard pin about 2 inches high and let her rip. he jumped up took off and stopped 30 yards away i actually got to watch him hit the ground and die. pure luck on my part. that was the most exciting day of hunting i have had so far. i may have taken a few bucks with my gun but this buck was my first with my bow. it dont compare to the thrill i had using my bow
