Story and Comments.: Everything went wrong that morning. I got to my stand late, just as I sat down I watched dark images of deer walk by my stand no less than 30 yards away. Discouraged thinking my chances just walked under my stand I countinued to look behind me tryin to spot one of them walking up the mtn. Turned around and spotted a deer looking up at me 95 yrds away. It seen me move and started to give me the head bob deal and when it turned its head I seen the antlers. Imediately I raised my rifle counted 3 points, and FIRED! Now not paying attention to the size of the deer, I watched him drop in my scope and out behind the trees watched an enormous buck bound down the hill. Upset because I had trail camera pics of this large whitetail. We estimated 26 wide atleast. Now looking at my deer I couldnt see the antlers cause he had fallen angling down hill and behind a tree. I waited 90min before getting down because I didnt want anyone else to miss there chance on that big buck incase he headed around me toward the others hunting with me. When I finally got down I got 30 feet to the buck when I finally got to see the antlers. Amazed by the size, I cant believe I didnt notice how big he was. It was my last day, and I didnt even want to go out that day. So I consider this my LUCKY LAST DAY BUCK. I would like to thank my uncle, If it werent for him, I wouldn't have been able to harvest this nice buck...
