Story and Comments.: I packed my heavy climbing stand a mile and a half in the dark on 11/9 to a swamp edge that butted up against a rock outcropping and about a hour and a half after daylight I heard a stick snap and this buck came out 5 minutes later. He was coming around the edge of the swamp probably going to the next doe area although he might have come over to investigate the rattling I did about 25 minutes earlier. He was huge and had lots of fat despite being 7 1/2 years old. I wish I could have weighed him but I had to pack him out. My best buck so far his beams measure 26" and he scored 144 gross B&C.
