Once you are set 30'+ in your perfect tree, the Tree Lounge is a dream. However, getting there is a struggle. Heavy and bulky when packing in, the stand is noise and less than easy to set up. Sliding the bolts through the hollow tube steel creates a horrible noise. The bow adapter is a nice addition, but it adds too much weight. If you hunt somewhere you can leave the stand on the tree all year and just jack up when you get there, it's the perfect stand.
Best there is. Safest tree stand made. I have heard some whine that it is too heavy, but if you are not in good enough shape to carry 20 lbs, I think it would be safer for you to either hunt on the ground and just stay out of the trees altogether. Been using one for 6 years and love it.
It's marketed as the most comfortable treestand out there. Well that is true. There is a flaw in my opinion on the foot climber. Once you get about 3-4 bites in the tree it tilts too far down throwing you backwards, making it difficult to climb with. When i use mine which is during the rut so that i'm able to sit there all day. I use the foot climber from my tomcat II climbing stand. It keeps me level so that it's easier to climb. As a matter of fact all my friends and family do the same with theirs also.
Larry..............Lounge needs the leveler, but leveler is under safety recall, and no response from T/L RE: remedy. Bow hunter adapter makes lounge heavy-ended and unbalanced up and down tree, and awkward and loud in assembly. Tiny wingnuts and cold fingers don't mix. Attaching or crossbar and initial alighment of holes is unweildy at best. Customer service from T/L has been non existant. No doubt, when in tree and situated, a most comfortable stand, BUT YOU HAVE TO TURN AROUND, and this can be tough.
Lester.................Good stand for little men but I'm a big man. With hunting clothing on I have a hard time getting my foot over the rail to turn around into the siting position. You have to stradle the sling seat to climb and the sling seat hangs on my boot when I try to turn around.
